There are a wide range of glasses to choose from to meet the needs of any project. Spandrel glass is one nice option.
Unlike vision glass, which is meant to be transparent, spandrel glass is designed to be opaque in order to help hide features between the floors of a building, including vents, wires, slab ends and mechanical equipment.

>An air gap is aparent between the coated glass surface and the exterior wall substrate.
In order for the coating to remain structurally sound, a positive airflow between the wall and the spandrel must be at least 70 mm to allow the coating to breathe. Without positive airflow, the coating is accessible to estreme high temperatures and high humidity. This combination can create an environment where Vetrocolor System can break down.
Issues that could orrcur in response to the above listed conditions include delamination or blistering of the coating
